Haylie Katherine Duff

IHaylie Duff was born on February 19, 1985 in Houston, Texas. She is the older sister of actress/singer Hilary Duff. Duff and her sister took up ballet at a very young age, and toured with the Cechetti Ballet during the mid-'90s. She first appeared on screen in an uncredited role in the 1997 miniseries True Women. In 2002 & 2003 Duff was cast in a recurring role on her sister's hit show, Lizzie Maguire. She played Lizzie's cousin Amy. Around this time Haylie contributed to her sister's Christmas album, Santa Claus Lane. She also sang on the Lizzie Maguire Movie soundtrack, which was realeased in 2003, and sang with for her sister's album, Metamorphosis.

Duff's big break came when she was cast as popular girl Summer Wheatley in 2004's cult classic, Napoleon Dynamite. The film became a huge success, giving Duff the exposure she had been waiting for.
